disadvantages of being a vet tech

I'm back in school to move into human medicine and make almost 6 figures doing a much less stressful but still satisfying and challenging career. No stressing out in traffic, no dealing with mean doctors or egotistical vet techs! I had nightmares for six (6) years. There are a lot of ways to still help animals that don't require the emotional turmoil that this job will put you through. If you are even questioning your stance on these, you probably shouldn't bet a vet tech. Financially secure? It sucks because I LOVE animals, they are my passion. While vet techs are expected to be in high demand for the next 10 years, vet tech salaries can be quite low. If we made as much as human nurses and got some respect I'd bet you'd see more "happy" techs. WoW!
