Too bad about your experience with the pedal, I wouldn't get rid of mine cause with my setup it kicks hard. So I basically just payed $100 to sound like a cheap Metallica imitation. Well, I guess a good thing is that on every setting, it sounds like some version of Metallica. It sounds good through my friend's old Peavey SS head. im sure with certain amp/guitar combos it can be good but you're best off getting rid of it IMO. Metallica basically compressed the shit out of their sound on MOP and AJFA so it shouldn't be too surprising that you can pull those tones from a good ss head.
